A 300 year old pub, essentially open plan but with various distinct drinking areas. The pub has a warm and welcoming feel, where conversation is king and strangers are made welcome, it is particularly popular with walkers and cyclists. The pub walls are adorned with local newspaper cuttings and pictures. Timothy Taylor's Landlord is the only permanent beer, with 4 changing ales available, always from Cumbrian breweries.
