Typical Cumbrian village pub, comprising a small front lounge, cosy inner snug and bar, with roaring fire when it's cold, and a spacious restaurant. No longer a managed, tied house, it is now under new, hands-on ownership. Beer is usually from Ennerdale brewery and the guest beer often from Marstons. Food is popular, especially Sunday lunches. Dogs are welcome in bar and lounge only. Also houses village shop.
